I would guess there were about 40 cars in the Trunk or Treat. Katelyn got the hang of it super fast and was sometimes leading the pack to the next car. They also had a bounce house and crafts set up for the kids.
This is a picture of the Gavin, Katelyn and Cousin Ryan.
After we were done at the church we headed back to our neighborhood to do more trick or treating. We ended up at my dad's house so the kids could see grandpa. When we got home the kids couldn't wait to see what they got in their buckets:
3. Saturday we headed up to the mall. For anyone who knows me IRL, I hate the mall. I go only when absolutely necessary. I have recently gone thru Gavin's and Katelyn's closet and none of their winter clothes from last year fit. So it was off to the mall for new jeans.
2. Daylight Savings! Who doesn't like getting an extra hour of time?? I actually felt like I was getting to bed early Saturday night because I knew it was an hour earlier. And when Katelyn woke up at 730, I didn't think it was too bad because I told myself it was really 830. I play this game with myself all day long actually. Looking at the clock and thinking- Hmm, its really 330 not 230. Such fun I have with myself, haha.
1. We went to Busch Gardens on Sunday. The kids all had such a wonderful time. They LOVE it there and never get tired of going. We started the day meeting up with my inlaws for breakfast and then heading over to the park. While the big kids went on the first roller coaster, Gavin, Katelyn, and Ryan played in the sand area.
We then rode the sky ride over to a new area that opened last year. More animal exhibits and a couple of new rides. On our way in we got to see some characters. Katelyn was deathly afraid of them and wouldn't stand with them on her own.
Ken took Gavin and Ryan up on the jungle maze ropes in the air, while Danyelle, Alexis, Grammie, and Grampie rode the new zip line. For the zip line they sat in a chair of some sort very high in the air. Then the gates in front of them would open and they would ride above the park for a little bit before going backwards into the gate. It looked like fun so maybe next time I will have enough nerve to go on it. We rode a couple of more rides and roller coasters before the thunderstorms came. Thank goodness we found somewhere to stand while it downpoured for about 20 minutes. After the rain let up we decided to call it a day. More black clouds were rolling in so more rain was coming.
