Overall, we had a wonderful Easter. Gavin loved everything that was in his Easter basket and said, This is the best day Ever! He did a great job at being a big brother with helping Katelyn find the Easter eggs hidden around the house. He thought the Easter Bunny was funny for hiding eggs in his shoes and behind couch cushions. And Katelyn couldn't get enough jelly beans or Skittles! We had a great Easter lunch at my MIL's and then came home for much needed naps.
Last night Gavin had another basketball game. His games are usually on Saturday mornings and last night was his only night game. I think Gavin had the biggest cheering section last night. Everyone came out to see Gavin play : Daddy, Grammie, Grampie, Grandma, Uncle Larry, Ryan, Chris, Aunt Tiff and her boyfriend. WOW!! It was a great competitive game to watch until the end of the 3rd quarter when Gavin got his first sports injury. He got tangled up in a couple of players and they all went falling down. Gavin landed VERY hard on his elbow and was taken out of the rest of the game :( The coach put ice on it and he spent the rest of the game on the sideline. His poor elbow is black and blue and had a huge knot on it. Thankfully it is moving around just fine and this morning Gavin told me it doesn't hurt at all! Great!
Have a wonderful week everyone!

Sounds like you had a great Easter - minus the injury! At least he didn't break or crack a bone or anything - elbows are one of the worst places for that to happen in. At least he's right in there with the players though...some kids (like me! haha) always kinda stood on the outer edges...sorta hoping that no one would pass the ball to me!
I had not mentioned one thing to my boys about the Easter "bunny" this year trying to work away from it. As I was putting Noah to bed, he says "Mommy, I think the Easter Bunny is going to put an egg under my pillow while I'm sleeping" FYI...the Easter Bunny did put an egg under his pillow.
OMG! I never thought about sports injuries! That must of been hard to watch the coach attend to his elbow. I played sports and suffered many injuries during games, I've never though of those experiences through the eyes of my mom.
