He Made My Night

I really don't think I could love Gavin any more than I already do. Especially tonight.

Gavin was in his room playing this evening while I was on the couch reading a book. After a while he walked into the room and just stood in front of me. I lowered my book and said "Yes?"

He was looking at me funny. Like he wanted to say something to me but was hesitant. He shifted his weight from foot to foot and looked around the room.

I asked him- Gavin, what do you need?

He finally said- Can you stop reading your book so I can sit on your lap for a little while?

I immediately threw the book to the side and gobbled him up in my arms. We had a precious 5 minutes together talking about Christmas next week and his Tball game coming up this Saturday. I loved every single second of it.

I love that he still needs me like that. I hope he always needs me like that. It makes my heart ache to think of the day he can no longer sit on my lap. Ache terribly. Nights like to tonight remind me to treasure every single moment with my kids.

My Noah is like that too. I will drop anything for a snuggle. Aren't little boys so sweet?

That's so sweet. My little one still does this too, and it breaks my heart to think that one day he won't anymore. I definitely need to remember to cherish every moment too.

That is so adorable. My girls still give me kisses everyday when I drop them off at school. I dread the day they decide not to kiss me goodbye anymore :(

oooh. Good Stuff. I tell Gabe all the time, "you are the best kisser in the world" and he loves to cuddle. I recently taught him how to roll his toy cars on my arms!!! :-)

Aw, I love that! It gives me hope that my little man will need Mommy-time for a while yet!
