Flashback Friday

I cant believe the school year is almost over! It went by so fast. Gavin started Kindergarten this year. He has grown so much since the first day of school. I am amazed by how smart he is and how independent he has become- as much as a 5 year old can be!

This picture is of Gavin on his first day of pre-school. He had just turned 2 and was going to school 2 days a week for 3 hours each. He was so excited to have his Wiggles backpack.

And this is a picture of Gavin on his first day of kindergarten.

Now he is excited about his Spiderman backpack. So many changes from my little boy into my big boy. I remember I was a little sad when he stopped watching the toddler shows like the Wiggles or Max and Ruby, and started watching Power Rangers and Spiderman. But I know that he has to grow up. Though it does tear me up a little to compare pictures like this. Before you know it I will be taking his picture on his first day of middle school!?!? Yikes!

Too cute! And, yes, they do grow up WAY too fast! His Spidey backpack cracks me up - it's as big as he is!

I would have given anything to have found a Wiggles backpack a few years ago for Aaron. Even though Noah is finishing up Kindergarten and he CLAIMS that he doesn't like the "baby" shows anymore, he will ALWAYS sit down and watch them if his brother is. I think he ins conflicted over what he is SUPPOSED to think and what he actually does. I love how proud he is about the backpacks.

Aw, what cute photos! Your son is adorable! I'm half-dreading, half-excited for my son to start pre-K. He's so ready to go yet I think I'll probably cry the way I have at every big milestone. I'm such a sap. :O)

Thanks for playing along with FF!
