Chalk and Bubbles

I watched my nephew Ryan for the day yesterday. He is 3. Katelyn has such a great time when he is around, someone a little closer to her age than Gavin. So, we spent the morning outside before it got too hot.

We turned on the bubble machine and Ryan and Katelyn ran around forever chasing the bubbles.

Then they just ran around chasing each other and butterflies. And of course got into the sidewalk chalk. Ryan drew all his shapes and wrote out his name. Katelyn scribbled and wrote over everything poor Ryan drew!

Finally it was time to come in. This does not sit well with Katelyn whenever we are outside and its time to come in. I usually chase her around the yard and drag her into the house. This is what she looked like when we got in:

She laid there for about 5 minutes crying her little heart out. When she finally realized she was not going back out, she got up and played tea party with Ryan.

And that was our day!! :)

Yes...Tate also hates having to come inside!! But he eventually gets over it too. ;) And a bubble machine! That sounds really cool! Much easier than me sitting and blowing bubbles from a little bubble blower thingee for 20 minutes. ;)

That last picture looks familiar. Lucas looks like that when I drag him into the house. He even gets super upset when we are getting ready to go somewhere and have to go outside to get into the van. He does not want to get in the van---he wants to play!!

That sounds like such a fun day! Ahhh...to go back in time. I can't wait to relive all those fun things again too...except the temper tantrums! Ha! That part doesn't look like too much fun. :)
