On The Mend

I think we are finally on the mend. It took Gavin a couple of days to start feeling back to his normal self after the antibiotics kicked in. It makes me happy to see him playing and laughing again. He spent the rest of last week at home. Monday he will go back to school and resume all of his other activities if all goes well. Karate, TBall, and choir.

On the other hand, I am still trying to get over being sick. I guess it was inevitable that I would get sick too with spending so much time taking care of Gavin. I have strep throat, laryngitis, and upper respiratory infection, and my rib cartilage is infected. How wonderful. I feel horrible!!! I am finally getting my voice back- it was barely a whisper that past couple of days.

The good news is that thankfully Katelyn is not sick at all!! She had a tiny little cough a couple of days ago, but that is now gone. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that nothing happens in the next couple of days with her.

Hopefully this coming week we are back to normal. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and warm thoughts regarding Gavin feeling better.
Have a great weekend everyone!

OMG! How scary! You know, I don't remember any of us having to go to the hospital when we were sick...what's going on with kids these days? You are like the 5th person I know that had to take their child to the ER for a high fever! I'm scared to become a mom!

Oh, and I'm glad he is feeling better. Hopefully it's over and nobody else gets sick for a while!

I am glad he is feeling better. And it sounded like he got a great welcome back to school and T ball.
